The Erds number concept is used for the film industry. The higher the Bacon number, the further the actor is from Kevin Bacon.
Kevin Bacon’s Bacon number, for example, is 0. An actor’s Bacon number is 1 if he appears in a film with Kevin Bacon. If one actor teamed up with another actor who worked on a film with Kevin Bacon, the Bacon number of the first actor would be 2, and so on.
What is my Bacon number and how do I find it
Of course, you might argue that this doesn’t make much sense, given how many real-world situations require the use of computer algorithms. However, if you know anything about the Internet, you know that it’s full of funny cat videos, Rickrolling, honey weasel that doesn’t give—, and other Internet memes we spend a lot of time doing.

“There are two actors with Rufus Shafter number 15 that we can find.” I like that, but I don’t understand how it relates to Bacon Number. Does the article imply that we can find people with finitely greater numbers by using Rufus Shafter’s numbers?
“The average Bacon number, on the other hand, is 2,943.” With 8 being the largest known finite number, how does the average get close to 3000?
